What can I expect on my first visit?

You can expect a friendly church environment where everyone is welcome. One of our hospitality greeters will meet you and direct you to the right classes and services. They can also answer other questions you may have.

The services at Valley begin with God-honoring congregational music and beautiful special music. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Smith.

WHERE SHOULD I TAKE MY CHILDREN?

Starting with excellent nurseries, there is something special for every age child. There are safe, clean, and well-staffed nurseries for children three years old and under. For children four years old through sixth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. For all children in our Valley children’s ministry we use KID CHECK to help keep our children safe and accounted for. We also have security watching out for the safety of our families during the services.

HOW SHOULD I DRESS?

Please feel free to come however you feel most comfortable. Our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visits with us here.

WORSHIP

Our worship at Valley is uplifting, inspirational, and reflective. It is our desire that the music portion of the service turn our focus towards God and we do our best to make the worship experience all about Him. This philosophy is reflected strongly in our style of worship here at Valley.

WHO IS PASTOR DENNY SMITH?

Pastor Denny Smith has been the pastor of Valley Baptist Church since 2003. He is a graduate of Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Before coming to Valley, he served as an associate pastor for twenty-eight years at Lavon Drive Baptist Church in Garland, Texas. Pastor Smith has a burning desire to reach people with the message of Jesus Christ.

AM I EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE OFFERING?

We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace.
