DAY 48
Good Morning! My name is Jenn and I was asked to give you a devotional thought from the book of Galatians chapters 5 and 6.
KEY VERSES:
Galatians 5:22-23 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance…”
REFLECTIONS:
As Christians, we are instructed in verse 16 to “walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” This passage is a reminder to all Christians as to how we are to walk our daily lives. In our world today, it is easy to fall into temptation. God wants us to exhibit the fruit of the Spirit to everyone, regardless of the situation that we happen to find ourselves in.
APPLICATION:
In today’s society, Christians are often faced with many trials and tribulations, and some may cause us to stumble. Although it may be difficult to do so, we are to walk in the Spirit. In his Handbook for Christian Living, Dr. Charles Stanley sums it up: What should our attitude be when a fellow Christian stumbles? We are to help restore that friend. (Galatians 6:1-2).
Thank you for being a part of the Route 66 Bible Reading Challenge. Thanks for reading, and you have a blessed day!
In Christ,
Jenn
